more summer gingham

Since I couldn't get enough of the gingham, I decided to make a dress out of some as well. I used another Cynthia Rowley pattern, Simplicity 2587. This one was pretty simple to make. I made one alteration to the pattern. I stitched the center up a couple of inches because it was a bit too low for me. I was happy that I was able to do that without altering the look of the dress too much.
Remember when I said I was going to post the item I made for our reunion auction? I totally forgot to take a photo. Lame. Imagine a red and white tablecloth with a cute bird embroidered on it. Yeah, it is just not the same, is it? Oh, well.

Next up...a thrift shop dress redo...But it will have to wait. We are going to be spending several days with dear friends. Have a great rest of the week!
