and here is lucy modeling it. she agreed to try it on for photos if i let her twirl in it. this girl loves a twirly skirt or dress. and since this one has a gathered slip underneath and the outside is gathered, it has lots of twirl. perfect.
i am very happy with it. ok, i am ecstatic about it. i can hardly wait for easter!

drum roll please
so i hope the dress can live up to all the hype. i am feeling a bit self conscious now. and i can't seem to get the perfect picture. so pat a pa pum (i am sure that is how a drum roll is spelled)...

I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
she looks like a little doll!!!!!
it's beautiful!!!
I want one!!! It's wonderful...you know, the more I see little dresses, the more I'm determined to make grown-up versions of these cute things! Hmmm...washed up some fabric for my own clothes making today. We'll see...
Amy it is beautiful! It is very charming on your daughter. This post is making me cry! (sniff, sniff) Please do keep this dress for your daughter when she gets older, I often think about the Easter dress my mom made for me and wish I still had it.....
That is SO pretty, she looks beautiful. You are right to be proud of it!
oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh (that's all i could keep saying out loud when i saw this). wow amy. what an amazing dress, and what an amazing photo of her in it (that bottom photo--it looks like something out of a fashion magazine).

Wow, this is such a beautiful dress. You did a fabulous job with it. Love the layers.
I agree this is like something out of a wonderful children's story.
Oh my gosh, how adorable. I love the gathered slip tremendously.
OMG!! That dress is so adorable!! I love that vintage print! Great for Easter and beyond!! hugs, Bonne
ahem...do you see how many comments you have???
Amy! it's gorgeous!! (but not as gorgeous as that little darlin' of yours!) Love the picture of her feet that you use for your profile. Baby and toddler toes are the best.
I am sorry about your grandma's health. It's quite alright to have sad posts. It makes you the real, living sweet girl you are. Take care of yourself, including a little time for pampering.
HUGS,

The dress is adorable! I especially love the pic with Lucy modeling, perfect on the red trunk. Really lovely coordinating fabrics for the dress.
Amy, you have a talent! Beautiful!
