i hope you are up for a challenge...reading this post! today is the first day that i have not felt like i was going to fall asleep while standing. the motivation to make things is clearly not in me. my mind is swimming with ideas, but i can't seem to get my hands to actually make any of them. i sure hope i can get out of the funk soon. maybe it is the cold weather that won't go away. people, i need spring! it also does not help that i have not been able to visit my grandma. my parents have both had the flu and with lucy and me being sick, a trip to grandma's has been out of the question. all i have managed to do is turn this...
into this...
and i did manage to finish this for my aunt...
*look, i don't even have the ability to take a decent photo right now! argh.
my plight is not due to lack of inspiration. i have found plenty from
jane,
beki,
lynne and
vicki, to name a few. i think
erica summed it up well yesterday. i laugh every time i think about it. enough of me complaining, i have to go find some "get up and go" somewhere in this house...there is a birthday party happening here tomorrow. and those of you who know me, know that i LOVE to throw birthday parties.

Oh, I know that feeling all to well, my friend. You'll get there. Sometimes you have to make yourself, but when you do, it usually turns out for the best. I've been making myseld do all the dishes and laundry every night, and it's surprisingly given me more time to craft.
Just curious, what is the ball of scraps for?
Your post was not boring at all ... it left me smiling from ear to ear. I understand that "funk" all too well. I am just emerging from one myself and have to keep clawing from going under again!
Spring is around the corner and it always brings new inspiration and energy! Hang on!
Blessings,
Lea
I love your scrap ball and the pattern for your dishcloth is great! One question, where are all the ends on your scrap ball? Yours is so pretty like it's all one piece!
And what will you make with that pretty ball of strips?
ok i think that ball of strips is so pretty and it obviously indicates that you were more motivated than you thought... :) glad you got out of the funk quickly. sorry i missed this when you first posted. been in a dark hole working!
