class

i must start by thanking karin for nominating me for a Nice Matters Award for my post about my grandpa. thank you so much karin!
well, school started here in atlanta today. larkin had a great time seeing all the school buses pass our house this morning. i can't believe that it will be our turn next year! in the meantime, we have set up our own "classroom" so we can have our own preschool activities.

sorry about the quality of the picture...but, you sometimes have to settle when two children under the age of five are posing in the same photo. the morning was interesting...but i am sure we will find our way. i learned very quickly that even folding and sorting laundry into mommy, daddy, larkin and lucy piles can be a lesson in itself. lucy loved the idea of going to "class" even though most of the time she was busy plundering through the mommy/sewing/crafting side of the room. the only thing she joined her brother for was coloring the number one, oh, and writing the number one.
i hope that i get some crafting to show here soon. maybe now that we are getting settled into our new routine...maybe...hopefully...

oh my goodness! Lucy looks so big in this picture. I left you a message a few weeks ago and you need to call me back! I miss you!

Hi! I love the classroom you set up and I can't believe how long Lucy's hair is. There are some great pre-reading games on www.starfall.com that are supposed to really help with early reading. I saw you Sunday and it made me glad. Big Hug.
