a new life

My words failed me before I even started writing this post. I am not the most eloquent writer which can be frustrating when writing about the most wonderful things in life.

It is so easy to be proud of our children. They are walking, talking wonders. They amaze me every day.

But when one of them (in this instance, that sweet guy up there) asks Jesus into their heart, it takes your breath away. All other moments of pride and joy seem so dim in comparison. The thing you have prayed for daily, that they would accept Him and know His truths, has happened. And again, words fail me. How could they accurately describe the joy in my heart?

He was so excited about getting baptized and wanted to do it soon. It was so perfect that Michael's brother's church was having a baptism service this past weekend and that Larkin could be part of it...near all of our family.

{Waiting his turn}

{Still waiting and listening so closely}

{I couldn't stop taking photos of him. My first born, born again}

{I love his face. The way he watches the water on the backs of his hands...so focused and happy while his Uncle Myles speaks.}

{My little guy, ready to be a light to the world}

I can't wait to see him grow and mature, knowing that he holds the truth in his heart...

aw, Amy, this is such a great post!!! What an important day for all of you! :) Such a cool thing to watch a child's love for God get even bigger and more real.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I'm so happy to "meet" you!!!

how awesome! and just think, as happy as your mama's heart is now is only a glimpse of what our Father's heart is in Heaven...when you think about it that way, it's sooo amazing. what a sweet joy we are able to share!

I'm reading this with tears in my eyes b/c I remember you nursing him in Zilia's office, him playing in the walker, his cut open lip from the bench in weekday, proudly showing off his GA boots, and now accepting Christ. Love this and I love what great parents you and Michael are to your sweet Larkin.
