thirty-two

I am pretty sure the act of me sewing has power. Power to make it rain. Every time I sew something and get excited about posting it on the blog, it rains. And when it rains I can get no decent shots with my camera. I think the sun is finally going to come out today, so hopefully you can see my projects soon.

Despite the rain, I did manage to have a birthday on Monday. It was a beautiful day (the only sunny day we had this week, so I am grateful for that). We spent the day out doing the things I wanted to do. This year we went shopping for my present together (which we never do), but I didn't find anything. I think I will turn to the internet. Any ideas? My friend Janelle was awesome and got me this. She was sneaky and bought it right under my nose while we were at a quilt shop together last week. Yay! That night Michael and I finally went to a movie! I love movies and we rarely get to go to one. We went to see Sunshine Cleaning and it did not disappoint. Amy Adams is great. As for the picture of me...I just figured I would document what I look like at thirty-two. For some reason thirty-two seems more milestone-y than thirty did.

My mom will be here a few hours to spend the weekend and I am so excited! I have a feeling we might hit a few quilt shops while she is here. Have a great weekend everyone!

Happy Birthday Amy! Ok, so I think I have a great solution to your birthday present "delimma". How about getting one of these chenille cutters from olfa? I just got mine in the mail and I think I'm gonna love it! Also, I cannot wait to get the Claire dress pattern. I'm going to make it for my best friend's daughters 6th birthday this year. It's such a sweet pattern!

I know exactly how you feel! I have to use the auto adjust button on my computer for almost all my shots. But then they still have this dreary look. I like you blog!
