hidden star

i completed my first block for the one quilt project. this is my block for dorie's quilt. and it was my first attempt at piecing. i rather enjoyed the piecing aspect of it, but i could use a bit of practice. this block pattern is called "hidden star." i added a few of my own fabrics to the mix. you may recognize the two red polka dot fabrics from lucy's quilt. dorie sent the green handwriting print. and how about the white handwriting? i won it from dorie (along with some of the green and some in black) almost a year ago! the block is on its way to her today. here is the full block...

The quilt block is so pretty. I think you did a great job. I guess you all are getting ready to start school. Love and hugs to all.

Wow, that's great. I love how you are passing back the white fabric. I couldn't piece like that in a million years!!

Your block is so beautiful - I can't wait to see what you come up with for mine! (I'm next month...)

I've never pieced a block before either, so it sounds like this is a learning experience for all of us!

Good luck with the homeschooling, by the way - I'm sure you'll do a fabulous job!

Cheers,
