i'm a winner

thank you for all the lounge pants love! i sure am enjoying them. i found out yesterday that i am a winner in amanda's giveaway! yay! i get to spend $20 in one of her online shops. i am very excited. i also found out last month that i was the winner in nikki's giveaway. i can't wait to get her package. although those two things are quite awesome, they are not the only reasons i am a winner. i am truly a winner because i got to have a date with this guy...
yeah, he's pretty cute. this is a picture that our friend leroy took of larkin at our yard sale on saturday. he has a new camera and larkin was in the mood to goof off in front of it. he got some really fun shots and i thought my boy was quite handsome here. for our date, we went to see wall e. it was such a good movie. very cute. we shared popcorn and coke and he even held my hand. it was so much fun!
since our family will want to see both children, here is a pic of lucy from the yard sale. she was enjoying her orange scone. do you see the glaze in her hair?

Oh, he held your hand! That melts my heart. The night before Noah left for boy scout camp (last week), he fell asleep holding my hand. He was excited about the independence awaiting him. But we were both a little apprehensive.

Isn't it a great bond that a mom has with a son? We'd better be praying now for their future wife. Will there be a woman worthy?

Oh my gosh. He looks so grown up. I wonder is he and Olivia would be past their little "rivalry" yet? :)

Man, you are lucky to have won TWO giveaways, but blessed with your two beautiful children. We must savor the hand holding and tight hugs, for I fear that there will be a gap in our lives when that will not happen as frequently. Perhaps it will happen again once they are grown up and we are old and need a steady hand ourselves.

Those are some good-lookin' kids! Very photogenic, indeed! I took my daughter & her friend to see Wall-E one night, then my husband took our other daughter the next day. I think quality time with each individual child is important, and I'm going to start making sure it happens at least once in a while.
