farmgirl treat

ok, now that the recipient has this in her hands, i can post about it. i met karin through mary jane's farm when she hosted the fun craft day with mary jane last year. and this month karin happens to be the farmgirl of the month at mary jane's farm. for the month of may her fellow farmgirls each send her a little treat in the mail. since she was coming by my house today, i sorta hand delivered my gift. it is just a little pillow (can it really be a pillow if it isn't functional?) with her farmgirl sisterhood number on it. sisterhood, you say? yeah, i should probably explain. it kinda reminds me of girl scouts. you get to earn badges for things from learning to knit to growing your own vegetables to writing thank you notes. it is like a club for grown up girls! you can read more about it here. here is another pic so you can see the fabric on the back...

p.s. there is a great giveaway over at lorajean's.

That's a really cute pillow. I need to go to that Web site. I never was a girl scout earning merit badges, so maybe this is the club for me!

Hey there: I'm an Atlanta girl (Decatur), too, though I don't live there anymore. I won Lorajean's giveaway, thanks to you. I'm looking forward to receiving her work of art! I spotted Mary Jane years ago and have had my library order her books. I really enjoy them. I tried to get into one of the swaps they do, but I couldn't figure out the thread of the postings - not like a blog. Maybe you can e-mail me some time, if you have time, and let me know how to get on. There have been a couple swaps and projects that I would have like to join.
