we had an amazing time hanging out with our friends rick and kristi this past week at the beach. it was strange to go from fall-like weather here in atlanta to beachy weather in just a matter of hours. we went down to anna maria island in florida and it was beautiful. even though kristi and i had not seen each other in over three years, you wouldn't have known it. we chatted constantly and had a great time. we actually have only been around each other a handful of times, but i feel like we bonded instantly when we first met several years ago. larkin and their two oldest had a blast and got along great, which was in turn great for the parents. here is a photo of lucy, larkin, gillian, and aedan. rick and kristi's son, rhys, would have joined in, however, being only a couple of months old, it would have been a little hard to sit on the bench!
well now i am off to visit my parents for a couple of days and a great library book sale.

glad you could have a little get-away. Enjoy your time with your mom. I hope it all works out with the guys' music to give Kevin and I an excuse to come visit you soon.
so maybe we can organize the next get-together in the mountains...? i don't think our kids even know what "mountains" are. :) miss you...
