why did the rooster cross the road?

One day last week, as we were pulling up to our house, we noticed a girl hanging out of her car window taking a picture of something with her phone. As we got closer we noticed that it was our rooster, Cary Grant. He had gotten out of the coop and the yard and was prancing down the sidewalk. I guess the girl found him pretty entertaining and I must admit, although we have had chickens in the city for several years now, it is still a bit funny to see them out of the yard. And actually, he didn't cross the road...at least not while we were around. We were able to quickly and safely guide him back in the yard and he seemed eager to get there, too!
We had a bit of a bump in the road this week as Lucy came down with a stomach virus for a couple of days. She is back to her normal self today and thus, we are back to the task at hand. Have a great Thursday!

Sorry to hear about Lucy being sick.

That "Cary", always the show off! He knows how to really strut his stuff to be from the farm! Glad Lucy is better.

Cary Grant!! How cute! He's really pretty for a rooster. That's cool that you can have roosters in town, I think we could only have hens here.
