more birthday

for michael's birthday we had leroy and janelle over for lasagna and this beautiful cake. michael likes boston cream pie. a while back alicia posted about making one, and i remembered wanting to use the same recipe one day. the recipe is from country living. it was so yummy! the only change i made was i used a pudding mix instead of making it from scratch (forgive me for not having a vanilla bean lying around). and this is the first time i have made boston cream pie with a chocolate glaze that you pour over the top rather than icing. and i must say, it is the best one i have made. this will definitely the recipe i use from now on. and since i know you need to see the cake one more time...
it was so good, we had some more tonight!
