fun

are there many things more fun than bubbles? my cousin jamie bought larkin and lucy giant bubble wands. we had a wonderful time with them. everyone, including my dad and grandpa, took turns making giant bubbles while larkin and lucy ran around chasing them. we even managed to get my grandma to the door so she could enjoy all the laughter. it was so much fun! (don't worry jamie, i am not going to post the photo of you jumping up to swat a bubble) after all the bubble excitement we enjoyed an evening of celebrating my grandma's 80th birthday. it was quite a short visit, but i hope to get to go back down next week.
while we are on the subject of birthdays, i thought i would share the thank yous i made for larkin's party. i just printed photos of him with his gifts and wrote the note right next to the photo. everyone loved the result and it was fun to see larkin tap into his creative director side. he would do silly things and ask, "how does this look?"
today i am starting on two new projects: a birthday gift for a little girl in the neighborhood and lucy's easter dress. wish me luck!

your thank-you's are adorable and very meaningful! Can't wait to see the Easter dress! I loved it when I was growing up and my mom made an Easter dress for me (matching hers of course!)

i have always thought about doing this, but never AFTER the party was over. i always thought, "how the heck can i snap a photo while he is unwrapping? i can't go fast enough!" but this makes so much more sense! glad to be checking in on you again; as always, looks like cool stuff has been happening around your house. :)

I figured that was an Easter dress before you said so below. Ideas for Ella's dress are rolling around in my head. I better start soon. I don't sew very fast.

Love the thoughtful thank you cards
Take care!
