i had planned on posting yesterday, but we were out most of the day. a quick trip as a family for dad to run some errands, turned into a treat of milkshakes followed by a trip to see the new veggie tales movie. it was lucy's first time in a theater and she had a great time. we all loved the movie. very fun. now on to knitting...
i was very excited about my double point needle hat project. i started it a few nights ago. ok, i started it four times. on the fourth attempt, after casting on the most stitches i have ever cast and after finally making it past the first row, stitches fell off of one of the needles! argh. i am not experienced enough to know what to do when that happens. so, what was a girl to do? well, i will let you guess. here is a hint...
hopefully i will get brave again and pick it up soon. i think i need to take it to my LYS to sit and knit it, so when disaster comes, i can get help. the good news is that i immediately picked up another project i had wanted to start. i hope to finish it today. here is my progress so far. "what is it?" well, let me just say that it is aquatic...in more ways than one.

glad to hear you liked the veggie movie--we still haven't made it to see it. also i can't believe you can knit something like that in one night? it took me 3 months to do the scarf for gillian. still haven't made it to the store for more supplies but aedan's dying for me to start on his scarf...
Amy you can come around the corner in a few weeks and try your double pointed pattern again. we are going to start knitting again after our Mardi Gras fundraiser.
Rheba is a master knitter and can get you out of just about any fix you run in to. I'll drop you a line when we set our first date.
Angie(from Karin's craft fest in October)
good luck with the knitting projects
have a good weekend
