i actually know what slip 1, K2 tog, PSSO means! after my dismal attempt at a washcloth last week, i made another one this weekend. and the lessons i learned with the first one, definitely paid off with this one. while i am not crazy about the yarn (it was much cuter in the skein, but hey, it was called gumdrop and i couldn't resist) i am happy with how the washcloth turned out. and i am no longer afraid of knitting patterns! however, i may be addicted to making washcloths. i don't think i am going to be able to stop. while knitting this one on saturday, i did manage to take a break to go out and play in the snow...
i am feeling brave, so tonight, while i am watching this, i will start on a hat which involves using four double point needles. wish me luck!

Double point needles - and four of the, no less!!! You are a brave girl. Let me know how it goes - and I may join you. Someone else just told me how fun it is to make washcloths - and how great hand-knit ones are! Good job on the pattern - looks great!
Its lovely and I like the colours, so pretty.
Double pointed needles scare me totally..I'll be interested to follow your progress! My lacy scarf is coming along but is a complete NIGHTMARE especially in the yarn I've chosen (more time fixing and ripping than knitting but I'm keeping that quiet ;). So well done, mastering the yarn over.
By the way, where did you get the elf soap ? Too cute...x
oh i LOVE the washcloth! it's so pretty. i am in hopes of finally finishing my scarf tonight, and then do you think i could make one? or is it something i should have more practice for? on another note, i cannot believe how much lucy has changed just since october. when kids get to larkin, aedan, and gillian's age they don't change from month to month, but at younger ages it is just so weird to see how that happens...ok, so i'll pop over for your next craft night, ok? keep your fingers crossed for a cheap plane ticket... :)
Larkin and Lucy are too cute in the snow and the washcloth is lovely. My granny makes similiar washclothes still at the age of 93! I got 2 for christmas! It is the only dishclothes I use.
We miss you guys! Did you get my email the other day?
