i am so happy that i have completed our christmas cards. i had several cards left over from each of the past four years. so this year i decided to use all of them before buying new ones. so, to those of you on our family's list, don't think too hard to try and remember the card you received last year, because there is a good chance you are getting it again this year. and like each year, we have the photo of larkin and lucy to include in the card. no, we don't do the preprinted photo cards around here-for some reason i like receiving cards that you have to open and that are signed, and i like giving them as well. nothing wrong with the preprinted one, i just like the old fashioned way. of course, getting a picture where both kids are looking at the camera is impossible. i couldn't even get one where they were both paying attention. but alas, here is our christmas photo. and actually, it is a pretty accurate picture of our days.

I think your photo is adorable! I still need to address all my pre-printed photo cards (hee hee).
i think this photo is awesome! i love seeing realistic photos of kids, because all of us who have them know that the one photo where they are smiling so perfectly and hugging each other only lasts a split second--it doesn't represent how life REALLY is around our homes.
at least you're mailing out christmas cards. i have a letterpress but am i making cards this year? not a chance. oh well. i love this picture. and i've decided you need to make lucy an elf costume.

Gosh you are a good girl! I have only got as far as thinking about doing my Christmas cards.. I keep putting it off and the deadline for the post looms large! I was thinking of printing my cards this year but you are right of course.. it is so much nicer to get a handwritten card.
Larkin and Lucyare just adorable,how sweet , and why not use up unused xmas cards! me too I did the same, I found a whole box of cards that I had written last year, sothese are going out this year, the people must have wondered why I hadn't sent any out last year, and said nothing !!

I just finished designing our cards at - yes - 1 a.m. tonight. All the grand plans of a block print, glitter, etc. went quickly away, becoming instead a version I illustrated on the computer and popped photos into. None of which are as fabulous as this one - LOVE IT. I say honesty is the best policy, especially in Christmas portraits. ;)
