welcome fall
so i got over my laziness and loaded the photos from this weekend. i love fall. i mean really, really love it. i couldn't wait for the first day of october so i could put out the fall decorations and make a pumpkin pie. i have had to make myself hold back, but now that october is here...oh, boy. this past weekend was great. we played for hours in our front yard (in our pajamas). my favorite part was the acorn hunt (although i discovered after a little while that i was the only one still hunting!)
and on sunday afternoon we went for a picnic with some friends. i know that this weekend was not quite october, but the activities and the weather were a perfect setup for the beginning of fall.
in keeping with the excitedness of the arrival of fall, my friend erica came over today with her children and we made sugar cookies, complete with a squirrel cookie cutter...i have got to get one of those!
and last, but not least, i just had to share this photo of what larkin referred to as his "development" (ah, the evidence of living in the city). i think that frank lloyd wright would be proud...

They are both getting so big! I miss you guys so much!
looks like a fun weekend. I bet you could display the acorns in a small glass canister of some type.or glue them onto a pretty wreath with fall colored leaves. hope you have a good week.
