lazy afternoon

the weather around here is beginning to become tolerable. saturday afternoon we spent some time in the front yard enjoying the cooler temperature. it was quite nice as long as you were in the shade (which is where i set up camp to knit for a while). i have almost finished this scarf for lucy. i like the color so much, that i think i may need one myself. i do not have a proper knitting bag, so this is what i am using for now...

i made this bag a couple of years ago. i found the project in the shoulder to the wheel issue of mary jane's farm (a magazine that i adore). the directions are posted here. it was a fun and simple project and the bag has held up very well.
well, the weather seems to be even nicer today, so we will be spending some time outside today as well. i love fall...

HI Amy, just checking in to see what you are up to. I think we are on the same wavelength of goal setting to accomplish things. Currently, I am focused on house decluttering (ala the Flylady-have you heard of her?)and money budgeting (so I can buy more fabric, of course). I am starting to sew some fall/winter clothes for Ella. I am slow but sure when it comes to sewing, but when I get done I will post pics on my blog.

Love the bag. I am also a big fan of MaryJane Butters. She has such neat ideas that are totally doable.
