saying hello
sorry i haven't been around for a few days. with a birthday and various sickies going around the house, there hasn't been much time for blogging. i am back though, and everyone is feeling fine, including me. my mom came into town this weekend to hang out and take part in the greater atlanta quilt shop hop. we only got to take part on friday, but we had a blast. we found some quilt shops with which i was not familiar, including possibly my new favorite, red hen fabrics. it was our last stop, and since we had already gone past the time that we should have been back home, we agreed that we would spend no more than five minutes in the shop. well, that didn't happen. the place was huge! not to mention the amazing selection of fabric! we also made a great stop at value village and picked up some great children's books. i will have to post my finds (maybe tomorrow when there is some decent light). if my mom lived in town, there is no telling what all we would get into. love you mama!

Hey girl! Glad you are all well! I have never been on a quilt hop before...sounds like fun!!
I'm glad you were able to have such quality time with your mom. Looking forward to seeing pics of what you purchased that day. By the way, I admire the way you take photos.
awww man, how i wish i could have gone to that shop hop.. quilting in Atlanta is serious business. I used to hang out a lot at Intown Quilters when it was on Zonolite Rd. (taught some classes there too) I wonder how she has set up the new location in Decatur. Did you get a chance to go?
btw, are you in any of the ATL guilds?
