my sweet lucy wren is three years old today. time is going by so fast! we had a birthday party for her this weekend at my parents' house. these are some of my favorite photos that we took that day. i found this dress at a thrift shop over a year ago and i thought it was perfect for a birthday celebration (she is wearing it again today).
and of all things, she asked for a worm birthday party. yep. i love to make birthday cakes for the kids, but since i was in my hometown and the local bakery makes divine cakes, i had them make a plain pink sheet cake for me and i decorated it with the worm. the best of both worlds...

Wow! I forgot Lucy's birthday is right in between Promise and Dove's! Please tell her Happy Birthday from the Stephens family. I LOVE the dress!

Beautiful Lucy! Such a "precious" child (not the "precious" from the other culture) but I do mean precious! I can still hear her saying "Sitty,come with me" They grow up way to fast! Takes me back to another time and another little girl-------

obviously i've been a bad friend and haven't been checking any of my blogs lately...and of course yours is at the top of my list, so i feel especially bad...what awesome pictures of lucy. and what a great find on that dress. i can't believe how different she looks since we last saw her (it's been a whole year!). happy birthday (late) lucy girl!
